joining fever...

I just checked my mails this morning and - I'm now officially a member of the "Socken-Kreativ-Liste". It's a yahoo group for socks!!! Heaven.
As you may have noticed, I love, love knitting socks. (And am on serious withdrawl at the moment, but I will finish my mums stole!) Anyway, they seem a lovely bunch of people and the patterns are just amazing. And for all you non-German-speakers - while the group is in german, the patterns are available in english as well. But you have to make your way through the waiting list first. But that was very quick for me...
So, hold on tight, while I have the next two sock-patterns-to-be-knit sortet and there's not a lot of flexibility there, I will be knitting a "Socken-Kreativ-Liste"-pattern very soon! As soon as I finish that stole for my mum. Ah well.

Because? Just because.
And because I also joined the Summer of Socks 2008!!! Sorry, I'm a bit late in posting that, sign-ups have closed for this year, but come have look anyway. Oh, the fun, that is about come to my door. I'm really excited, the Ravelry group is already bustling with activity!
I stupidly joined both contests before reading any threads in regard of last years winners (42 pairs of socks in that time!!! That woman is amazing!) and doing a reality check. I'll be lucky if I get about 4 or 5 pairs done in that time frame. Ah well.
And as I'm not really going on holiday this year, I'll have to come up with something else for that competition as well. But for that one, I have ideas. Oh yeah. Let's hope they work.

And I need help from you! Can anyone please enlighten me as to how I can get the buttons for all these fantastic things up here on the sidebar? And link the button to the appropriate page? My very limited computer abilities have left me for that one and I'm lost...
